About

Centre Pompidou, Paris, 2012.

Lisa Griffen is a self-taught mixed media artist who has sold her artwork to buyers across the United States, as well as in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Creativity and making things have always been part of her life but she began seriously pursuing art in 2007. Her paintings have been widely exhibited in and around Portland.

Lisa has volunteered for Portland Open Studios and taught art to children through Hillsboro’s Bienestar. She is a member of The Village Gallery of Arts, where she served for two years as president of the board of directors. Lisa co-founded Affordable Art for Everyone in 2015 and is currently in her third year of organizing the event.

Originally from Sonoma, California, Lisa has lived in the Portland area since 1991. When she’s not painting, she spends time outside enjoying the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. She also enjoys writing, baking, designing games and sewing, but most days find her in her backyard studio.

Lisa posts new work on Facebook and Instagram  and gives details about upcoming shows in the News section of this site.
